Information regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information in connection with the Betanomics service.

Last updated: May 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Select Technologies, LLC ("Select Technologies," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, stores, and otherwise processes information in connection with Betanomics, including our iOS application, websites, join flow, memberships, content, community features, events, tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). In this Privacy Policy, "Betanomics" refers to the Service, product, and brand operated by Select Technologies, LLC.

This Privacy Policy applies to individuals who access or use the Service, create an account, purchase or hold a membership, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with Betanomics.

1. Who We Are

Betanomics is operated by Select Technologies, LLC. If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy or wish to submit a privacy-related request, you may contact us at support@betanomics.io or by mail at:

Select Technologies, LLC

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

We may collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • account information such as your email address and sign-in method;
  • profile information such as display name, full name, birthday, avatar, and interests;
  • membership selections and support communications;
  • community content such as messages, reactions, poll activity, event responses, uploads, and reports;
  • settings and preferences, including notification preferences and social settings.

2.2 Information from authentication and payment providers

When you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive information necessary to authenticate your account and operate the Service, such as your provider identifier, email address, and certain profile information made available by the provider. When you purchase a membership, Stripe processes your payment information. We may receive billing and transaction metadata from Stripe, including customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, checkout session data, plan selections, billing status, and related records, but we do not store full payment card details on our own systems.

2.3 Information generated through your use of the Service

We collect and generate information in connection with your use of the Service, including community activity, social connections, follows, follow requests, blocks, event participation, channel activity, access entitlements, membership status, account status, reports opened, app features used, audit records, and support or moderation records.

2.4 Device, session, and technical information

We may collect device and technical data needed to operate, maintain, and secure the Service, including device identifiers, app version, platform, IP address, request metadata, user agent, session and authentication state, notification device tokens, and security-related logs. The app also uses a persistent device identifier to help manage account sessions and device-linked functionality.

2.5 Browser storage, cookies, and similar technologies

Our website and service providers may use essential cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies that are necessary to operate the website, maintain sign-in and join-flow state, support security features, and preserve limited session continuity. Based on our current configuration, we do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, ad-tech pixels, or session replay tools.

2.6 Moderation, safety, and security data

To help protect the Service and the Betanomics community, we may collect and process moderation- and safety-related information, including message reports, content-review outcomes, automated moderation signals, image safety checks, OCR-based review outputs, security event records, and screenshot-capture records from supported parts of the app.

3. How We Use Information

We use information for purposes such as:

  • creating, authenticating, and securing accounts;
  • operating memberships, billing, entitlements, and account access;
  • providing community features, events, reports, blogs, analyst commentary, and other service functionality;
  • delivering transactional and service communications, including account, billing, support, security, and legal notices;
  • registering and managing push notifications and notification preferences;
  • moderating content, detecting abuse, enforcing our Terms, and protecting users and the Service;
  • troubleshooting, support, internal analytics, service improvement, product development, and enforcing report access limits;
  • complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests or disputes.

At present, we use contact details primarily for transactional, service, support, security, and account-related communications. If we begin sending marketing communications in the future, we will do so in accordance with applicable law and provide any required choices or opt-out mechanisms.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following ways:

  • to service providers and infrastructure providers that help us operate the Service, such as Firebase, Google Cloud, Apple, Google, and Stripe;
  • to other members and authorized users within the Service when your profile, community activity, follows, event participation, or submitted content is visible in product features;
  • to moderators, administrators, staff, and service providers involved in support, moderation, fraud prevention, and security operations;
  • to comply with law, court orders, subpoenas, or lawful governmental requests, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service;
  • in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, or similar business transaction;
  • with your direction or consent.

We do not sell personal information, and based on our current configuration we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. International Data Transfers

Betanomics operates from the United States and may process or store information in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

6. Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your place of residence and subject to applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. These rights may include the right to request access to information about you, request correction, request deletion, request a portable copy in certain circumstances, object to or request restriction of certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), including rights to know, access, delete, and correct certain personal information, subject to exceptions. Because we do not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not currently offer a separate opt-out mechanism for those activities.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar privacy laws, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or other applicable privacy laws, and you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To submit a privacy request, contact support@betanomics.io. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

7. Lawful Bases for EEA and UK Users

To the extent applicable, we generally process personal information on the basis of contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where required. Our legitimate interests may include operating the Service, protecting the community, improving the product, securing our systems, enforcing our Terms, and communicating with users about the Service.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain memberships, provide community functionality, support users, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce our agreements, and protect the Service and its users. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the context in which it was collected or generated.

If you delete your account, we may transition your account to a deleted-pending state, cancel active subscriptions, and remove or restrict portions of your data from active use. We may still retain certain records for legal, security, billing, fraud-prevention, backup, moderation, or audit purposes where permitted or required by law.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly offer the Service to children under 18, and if we learn that an underage user has provided personal information or created an account in violation of our rules, we may suspend, restrict, or delete the account and associated information as appropriate.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version here and revise the last-updated date above. Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
